October 8th, 2014.
Patrick see the grade 9 assignment below. Grades 10 & 11 started this today as well. You will get a character upon  your arrival back to school.
Zack and Alex, today we started working on a character wheel. For this assignment, you must draw a large circle, choose one of the characters from your novel and write his name in the middle
(available characters are: TJ Avery, Stacey, Jeremy Sims, Uncle Hammer.). Divide the circle in 4 and label each part as follows: my opinion, type of character and his role in novel, personality, background. Provide at least 3 pieces of information for each category and support with quotes from the book. Final copy is due on October 15th.

We are in week 3 of a new school year. My course load has changed a little from last year, so new challenges are upon me. It's been a busy but exciting beginning. My ELA secondary 3, 4 and 5 students have been walking through the cemetery studying tombstones to find one that piques their curiosity and have done some interviewing to learn more about those buried there. They are currently writing their story. There are lots of beautiful art projects on the walls of the high school. Grade 7 &8 are currently working on reading strategies and fluidity in FSL class. Lots of fun things are happening!
